Academic Drawing for Adults

Course description:
This representational drawing class will focus on exploring various approaches and methods of drawing. Grounded in historic and time-tested methods, this course will move you through a series of in-class exercises and at-home projects to develop skills in drawing as you advance. Each class session will consist of concept introduction, instructor demonstrations, collaborative learning exercises, and guided in-class work time. Students of any ability, and interested in learning how to draw accurately, will find an opportunity to refine their skill in this class.

Class dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning June 2 and continuing through June 30.
Class Times: 6:30 — 8:00 pm
Tuition: $135 plus student’s supplies

About the instructor:
Daniel Swartz is an experienced artist and instructor, with 14 years of experience teaching art & design. He holds a B.S. in Illustration, an M.A. in Visual Studio Art with a focus on representational oil painting, and also an M.F.A. in Illustration. He lives in southern Wells County with his wife and two boys. Daniel works as a freelance artist and designer, and is known to make above average chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast (according to the reviews from the above mentioned boys.)
