Celebrate the 4th of July with the City of Bluffton.
The Band California Dreamin’ (https://www.facebook.com/CaliforniaCountry48/videos/754447128049867/) will perform at 8pm and the fireworks display will start at 10pm.
The Big Dipper Ice Cream trailer will be a the Community 4th of July event at the Bluffton Football stadium area from 7:30 – 10:00 p.m. You won’t want to not have some, so be sure and bring a little pocket change with you! Yummy!
We expect that our biggest problem will be parking. Wherever possible, you are encouraged to carpool, walk, or bicycle to the Bluffton-Harrison Middle School. Parking along Harrison, Spring, Stogdill, and Wayne Streets in the area is prohibited. A 1,000-foot area around the Bluffton Motor Works Parking lot will be restricted to authorized vehicles and personnel only.
The fireworks will begin at 10 p.m. and will last about 20 minutes. It will be an all-aerial show.
The school grounds are smoking and alcohol free and no personal fireworks or sparklers may be used. All fireworks and alcohol will be confiscated by the police.
In case of high winds or heavy rain, the fireworks will be held on July 5.
Restrictions on use of Consumer Fireworks:
It shall be unlawful to use, ignite or discharge consumer fireworks within the corporate limits of the City of Bluffton except as follows:
- Between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and two (2) hours after sunset on June 29, June 30, July 1, July 2, July 3, July 4, July 5, July 6, July 7, July 8 and July 9
- Between hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight on July 4; and
- Between the hours of 10:00 a.m. on December 31, and 1:00 a.m. on January 1.
