Parks Department

The Bluffton Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with the community, is committed to providing family-oriented facilities, parks, and programs that enhance the quality of life for our citizens. We recognize that our parks are vital to the quality of life in our community by offering opportunities to be physically active, providing play areas critical for child development, and maintaining green space. Our programs are designed with social connections in mind, and we play an essential role in our city’s growing economic development.

Summer help is always needed to support Bluffton's expansive summer youth programs. Applications for summer help are accepted from January thru February each year.

Memorial Tree Donation

Honor a loved one by planting trees in their memory. Orders are collected all year long, and trees are planted at the best suitable time (typically spring or fall). Donated trees not only provides a home for wildlife and shade for families walking on the River Greenway trail, but also protects the trail itself, as tree roots help stabilize the riverbank. Honor the life and legacy of loved ones, and help preserve the tree canopy in our beautiful parks and trails for generations to come. Completed Memorial Tree Donation Form (PDF) can be submitted to the Parks Department Office at City Hall year round.
