The Bluffton Dispatch Center serves as the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for all 911 emergency calls in Wells County. As the central hub for emergency communications, it is responsible for dispatching services across various public safety agencies, including law enforcement, fire departments, Wells County EMS, and other emergency responders.

In addition to answering and dispatching emergency calls, the center manages non-emergency requests, coordinates with multiple agencies during large-scale incidents, and provides critical information to first responders. It also maintains detailed records of calls and dispatch activities, supports community outreach and public education on emergency procedures, and ensures the integrity and security of communication systems. The Bluffton Dispatch Center plays a vital role in ensuring swift, coordinated, and effective responses to emergencies throughout the county.
