2. The undersigned Property Owner requests an inspection of the following tree issue, and authorizes the City of Bluffton to trim or remove tree(s) described as follows :

6. The undersigned Property Owner attests that the following conditions are met:

   • That the tree(s) is located in the City right-of-way or an easement for public utilities.
   • The undersigned person is the legal owner of the property upon which the tree to be cut is located.
   • If the City decides that the tree described above qualifies for cutting, the undersigned will indicate if they want the wood removed or wants to keep the wood. (make selection below)
   • Regardless if the Property Owner elects to keep the cut wood or not, it is understood that it is the responsibility of the Property Owner to clean up the area and remove the stump.

18. Note :  All inspections will be by appointment only and shall take place during normal City business hours, 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.

    The City of Bluffton will put out bids for the cutting/topping/trimming of tree(s) and removal of resulting debris and award to the lowest bidder. The undersigned Property Owner will share 50% of the low bid cost with the City. 

    The tree contractor accepts full responsibility and liability for any damages/injuries arising from the cutting/removing/trimming of the tree and has sufficient resources and/or insurance to hold the City of Bluffton and the property owner harmless from any claims for damages and/or injuries arising from requested work of authorized tree(s).
