For ages 12 and up. The Genealogy / Local History Club is for all knowledge levels. Members help each other, learn new things, and obtain a greater appreciation for local history and genealogy research. Bring your own laptop or share one of ours. This first meeting will be focused on the genealogy and local history resources available here at WCPL. Future meeting topics will be determined by attendee interests.

Join the Nature Lovers Lunch and Learn series at Ouabache State Park sponsored by the Friends of Ouabache. Anyone is welcome to join. Participants are to bring in their own lunch and drink. Desserts will be provided. It takes place at the Lodge Recreation Building. People will get to enjoy a nature program and fellowship while eating. The program will be offered beginning Thursday, March 16th and thereafter every second Thursday of the month April through October. Each month is a different topic. The program is free with paid park admission. A freewill donation to Friends group at program is accepted. Wells Co Historical Museum, 420 W Market St, Bluffton, IN 46714, USA The Wells County Historical Society and Museum will host their second program for the year on Sunday June 11th at 2p.m. Neil Ainslie will speak about "The History and Life of the Wabash River" in the Annex building located behind the Museum. Ainslies hour long program will cover some of the floods, the changes in the river and the aquatic life in the river. The event is free and open to the public.

The event starts at 11:00 when you can view the fabulous purse packages and buy raffle tickets for those you’d like to try to win. At noon a scrumptious lunch will be enjoyed and the winning raffle tickets will be drawn. Event tickets are $30 each or a table of 8 for $225. Make your reservation by June 1st by calling 260-824-5589 or emailing assistant@unitedwaywells.org. If you are unable to attend the lunch event, you can come to the United Way office to view purses and purchase raffle tickets. These dates are June 6 and 7 from 9:00-3:00. Viewing tickets are $10 per person. You need not be present at the luncheon to win—we’ll make arrangements for you to pick up your winning package. Each Purse package will be valued at least $250, except for the Power Purse Package which is valued at a minimum of $2,500!
